Livingdice.com Gets a Speed Boost–Please Notify Me of Any Issues
I made some significant modifications to the site today and need some help with testing. I removed a lot of obsolete javascript from the site, installed a content delivery service (an extra server to provide faster image downloads), changed hosting to a grid-based system and did a general plug-in cleanup on WordPress. Bottom line is everything looks ok right now, but if anyone sees something odd please let me know through the contact form below. I believe I tripled the download speed of the site, but your mileage may vary. Let me know if you do or do not see improvement.
UPDATE: The CDN was causing some issues, so I turned it off. Now the site loads fast, instead of really fast. I will work on it today and we should be back to lightspeed soon.
Oh, for those interested, I am healing faster than anticipated and can now type two-handed…after a fashion. I should be up in running in a couple of weeks, rather than six, which pleases me greatly.My post/review backlog is getting ugly. Special thanks to my guest bloggers for picking up the slack for the next couple of weeks. We have some good stuff on tap and I know you will enjoy it.
